The group's principal activity is to offer customers with annuity contracts that offer a variety of funding and payout options for individual and employer sponsored retirement plans qualified and non-qualified annuity contracts. The non-operating segment of the group offers investment advisory services and pension plan administrative services. The products are offered primarily to individuals, pension plans, small businesses and employer-sponsored groups in the health care, government, education and corporate markets. The products are sold through pension professionals, independent agents and brokers, thirdparty administrators, banks, dedicated career agents and financial planners. The group is a wholly owned subsidiary of aetna retirement holdings inc.
